Town Web Design, LLC builds websites for local government, and only local government. It’s all we’ve ever done. We’re headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, our roots go back to 2007, and today 800+ municipalities in 40 states run their websites on Town Web.
Most of what we do never shows up on a features list. It’s the call at 4:45 on a Friday before the agenda goes out. It’s the page we fix while you’re busy at the counter. It’s training that fits into your day, not ours.
A human answers. Call, email or chat, and a real person gets back to you: someone whose name you’ll know, who has probably helped a town like yours this week.
We’ll make the update for you. Add White-Glove Service to your agreement, send us the agenda, the notice or the photo, and we post it.
Training that fits your day. Free 1-on-1 training after launch, plus the knowledge base and monthly webinars whenever you want a refresher.
Nothing moves without the clerk. So we build for the clerk first: if it isn’t obvious the afternoon you try it, we built it wrong.
Every government runs through one office.
Whether it’s a growing city of 50,000 or a rural town of 1,000, most questions, requests, forms and payments run through the clerk’s office. Records. Elections. Licenses. Meetings. The counter, the phone and, more and more, the website. Some clerks lead a staff of twenty; others wear twenty hats. Either way, nothing moves without them.
Here’s the strange part: most vendors sell to purchasing departments and call the clerk an “end user.” We think that’s backwards. So we made a decision that still runs this company: the clerk is our client. City, town or village, whatever the size, however many hats.
What we believe in
1
Built for the clerk.
If you can’t figure it out the afternoon you try it, we built it wrong. No six-week implementations, no training binders. And if you’d rather not touch it at all, add White-Glove Service to your agreement and we make the updates for you.
2
A human answers.
Unlimited support is the product, not an add-on. Reach out and a real person gets back to you, someone whose name you’ll know, who has probably helped a town just like yours this week.
3
Honestly priced.
Prices start at $99/mo. One fixed price for the term of your contract: no mid-year changes, no annual “adjustments,” no surprise add-ons. The number we quote is the number we bill.
Ethical pricing.
It’s perfectly legal to raise a customer’s price every year. Plenty of vendors do: an annual “adjustment” written into the contract, because someone’s board of directors needs the number to go up. We think that’s a bad way to treat a town.
Your price is fixed for the term of your contract. We won’t raise it halfway through the year, and we won’t raise it next year just because we can. If we want more of your budget, we’ll earn it by building something worth paying for. We’d rather earn your business every year than lock you in.
Town Web was born in Wisconsin, and it shows. We say please and thank you. Reach out to us and a real person gets back to you right away.
We think in long-term relationships, not quarterly targets. It’s more honorable to earn your business every year than to lock you into a long contract with price increases baked in. Plenty of companies do exactly that and call it “just how things are.”
Our clients run town halls, village offices and city halls from coast to coast. We’re after the long-term relationship: to carry the tedious parts of the job, and to make your clerk-work a little more enjoyable every year you work with us.
